John A. Zweifel

Kaylor, SD

1939, 2757, Narrows (Blue Bell), SP-3,

John A. Zweifel, 73, died Monday, December 5, 1994, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.

Mr. Zweifel was born November 28, 1921, in Hutchinson County. He grew up and attended school in Kaylor. He lived in the Black Hills area and worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps. He entered the Army, where he served in the Pacific. He then lived in Sioux City, Iowa, and worked for Armour Packing. He later moved to Yankton, where he worked in construction and for the Human Service Center.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars posts, all of Yankton.

He is survived by one sister, Ethel Zweifel of Tacoma, Wash.; and special friends: Melvin Keller and Marcella McHeveer of Yankton.

Services at the First United Methodist Church in Yankton, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
