C. N. Alleger

Belle Fourche, SD

1933, 792, Roubaix, F-6, LEM

It was learned in Belle Fourche late Saturday that C. N. Alleger, 55, a resident here from 1927 to 1934, died Thursday, August 25, 1938 in Grand Junction, Colo., where he had resided the past two years. The cause of death was not learned in the brief message to L. A. Gleyre.

Mr. Alleger while a resident of Belle Fourche was employed on the Northwest Post as news and advertising man and was active in promoting civic enterprises. For the past several months he had been associated with the Grand Junction Sentinel as an advertising salesman for a special magazine published by the newspaper.

Deceased is survived by one son, Charles A., of Grand Junction; one sister, Mrs. Marie Saunders, Georgetown, Ind.; a brother, Claude, Marion, Ind., and his aged father, C. F. Alleger, Warren, Ind.

After leaving Belle Fourche deceased lived in Deadwood for some time and was employed in publicity work for the Civilian Conservation Corps in this area, shortly after camps were established in the Black Hills forests.
