Time To Shine
The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Museum of South Dakota is very pleased to be the home of the Goens 1935 GMC Truck that was built for the CCC. The fully restored vehicle is viewed by many all year round. During the busy Black Hills tourist season the number of visits to the museum and the traffic to the truck display is particularly high.
May 27, 2022 was a great day to take the CCC Truck for a drive and get it washed and polished up and we did just that. Museum board member and "Car Guy" Kerry Conner was on hand to make sure the truck was in good running condition and put some expert touches to the wash and shine.
It's hard to believe how much time has past since that Special Open House. It was a great day and this addition to the CCC Museum collection continues to be viewed, enjoyed and appreciated by so many.
When you visit Hill City, South Dakota be sure to include a stop at the Visitor Information Center (VIC) and check out the CCC Museum upstairs.
