Marvin Ardell Tyndall

A document provided by a family member of Marvin Ardell Tyndall indicates that that from 1934-1936 Mr. Tyndall served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in four camps in Iowa. His type of work is listed as reforestation, hospital orderly, company clerk, and assistant leader.

After his service in Iowa, Marvin Ardell Tyndall was transferred to Company 4726, Camp Crow Creek, SCS-1. This camp was near Chamberlain, SD. In late 1936 Mr. Tyndall was transferred to Company 774 near Palmyra, MO. He completed his eligibility in 1939 and was discharged from the Palmyra camp with an excellent performance record.

Camp newspaper, The Crow Creek Chimes, indicates that Marvin Tyndall was typist for the publication in 1936.
