Neuharth

Richard Neuharth

Alpena, SD

1939-40, 2765, Fechner, SCS,

The likeness is that of Richard Neuharth, chief SCS clerk. Dick came into this world December 13, 1920, at Alpena, S. Dak. He attended Meadowlark country school, which is located near Alpena and Alpena high school, graduating from the latter in the spring of 1938. Handsome, likeable Dick enrolled in the CCC in April of 1939. The SCS office has been warmed by his friendly smile since January of 1940. An assistant leaders rating was bestowed upon him in July of the same year and he received his leaders rating in December. Simple mathematics will tell you that he reached the limit of his enrollment period in April of this year, but the SCS realizing that his loss would create a vacancy that would be difficult to fill gave him a P.A.

The fact that he is always striving to improve himself is evidenced by the fact that he recently took a Civil Service examination. The company awaits the returns on this with bated breath. We would all like to see him improve himself and yet we are selfish enough to want to keep him with us as long as possible.

Do you have additional information about Richard Neuharth
