Melvin H. Harris

Cresbard, SD

Melvin Harris was born June 26, 1921 Faulk County, South Dakota, and died February 22, 2002 at the age of 80, Kennewick, Benton County, Washington. Burial: Terrace Heights Memorial Park, Yakima, Yakima County, Washington.

Son of Arthur Harold & Dora Harris...Army Jun 1944, WW 2...Mar 1942 married Ilene Miller. After marriage, Melvin and Ilene were farmers in the DeVoe/Cresbard area. They later bought a grocery store in Cresbard, formerly Everett's Market, then re-named to Mel's Market.

1946 moved to Cresbard. 1948 moved into town. 1975 moved to Yakima (WA). 1999 moved to Kennewick, WA.
