Edward George Blondo

Edward George Blondo, 90, of Prosser died Wednesday December 31, 2008 in Prosser, WA.

Mr. Blondo was born October 1, 1918 in Bowdle, SD, where he was raised and educated. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in Columbia, SD from 1936-1938 before moving to Prosser. He owned and operated a bulldozing service and later worked for Benton Cement as a truck driver. He then worked for Juzeler Grain, which later became Pendleton Grain Growers. He retired in 1983.

He is survived by four daughters, Rita Brizendine of Vancouver, Wash., Ramona Dexter of Prosser, Diana Robillard of Grandview and Marilyn O'Neill of Portland; a sister, Luella Ticknor of Vancouver, Wash.; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Prosser Funeral Home, followed by a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Concluding services and burial will follow at Prosser Cemetery.
