Roscoe Townley "Nick" Nichols Jr. was born December 14, 1907 in Liberal, KS.

Col. Nichols, a resident of Albuquerque since 1961, died Saturday February 5, 1983 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Burial Santa Fe National Cemetery Santa Fe, NM.

He retired from the Air Force in 1960 after 30 years of service.

"Nick" was a member of Ballut Abyad Temple and the Fargo Lodge of Liberal, KS; and was President of Jemez Country Inc. Land Company.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Elizabeth "Peggy" (Clark) of Albuquerque; son, Robert Townley Nichols, III, of Carmel, CA; and grandsons, Phillip and Patrick Nichols both of Carmel, CA.
