WB Monkey Wrench

Vintage Whitman and Barnes Monkey Wrench

This monkey wrench was made by the Whitman and Barnes Manufacturing Company of Akron, Ohio. The company started in 1877 and made a name for itself making knives. Its drop forge division was bought out by J.H Williams Tools around 1920.

It’s stamped with the W&B Diamond logo under which is written "Made In USA" and "Warranted."

This artifact from America's industrial age has "CCC" markings and was donated to the Civilian Conservation Corps Museum of South Dakota by Dennis Wilkerson. Mr. Wilkerson was employed for 33 years at Custer State Park.
