Lightning Flashes October 1939

Most major Civilian Conservation Corps camps published a newspaper. The CCC Museum of South Dakota has a copy of Lightning Flashes from October of 1939.

Camp newspapers contain the history, activities, education and humor of the camps and enrollees. The newspapers, like the one shown on the right, are digitized (left) and archived. Visitors can view the reproductions without damage to the originals.
