Ejner Carl Andersen was born on March 10, 1916 and died on May 31, 2002 at age 86.
REDFIELD SCOUTS AWARDED BADGES

The Redfield Court of Honor was held Monday evening, January 27 at the Congregational church, and three boys were advanced to the rank of second class scout. These boys are members of troop 24 and include: John Steeck, Herman Steeck and Paul Schleher. Rex Irwin, member of troop 8 was promoted to the rank of first class Scout and was awarded the merit badge for swimming. A. F. Schleher presided at the meeting.
The district commissioner, E R Humeston presented tenderfoot badges to eight newly enrolled Scouts. Seven of these are joining troop S of which I. N. Beard is Scoutmaster. The new members are: Ejner Andersen, Paul Andersen, Loren Arus, Bruce McIntyre, Mose Poore, Charles C. Urban and Lawrence Wright.
Sterling Simenson is joining troop 24. Paul Nelson and Harry Wolff, Jr. are also newly enrolled in troop 24 but could not be present to receive their badges
Immediately following the Court of Honor, a brief meeting of the Redfield district committee was held. Dr. C. E Stutenroth was named chairman for the year 1930. Elmer Humeston was reelected commissioner. S. W. Clark was made chairman of the sub-committee on finance. The chairman of the sub-committees on camping, leadership training and civic service will be named by Dr. Stutenroth in the near future.
Troop No. 24 of Redfield is just completing its third consecutive year and is re-registering with a membership of 17 boys. This troop is sponsored by Our Savior's Lutheran church. The Rev. C. S. Pederson is the scoutmaster. Interest is growing in both Redfield troops, according to Dr. Stutenroth.
