Albert Ambrose Schaffer (Al)

December 7, 1914 - April 3, 2008

Albert "Al" Schaffer, 93, of Whitewood, S.D., died April 3, 2008 at the Sturgis Regional Senior Care Center.

As per Al's wishes cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be held at a later date, with inurnment to follow at the Black Hills National Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife Maureen of Whitewood; son Steve Schaffer of Rapid City; daughter Lucinda "Cindy" Verbeek of Virginia; brothers Edward Schaffer of Zell, S.D., Arthur "Art" Schaffer of Ashton, S.D., George Schaffer of Culver City, Calif., sister Edna Noonan of Washington, Mo.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
