Louis J. Berndt, age 79, of Grandville, Michigan passed away Saturday, April 21, 1996. Services were held Monday, April 29, 1996 at the South Blendon Reformed Church with Pastor Kenneth Stults officiating. Interment at the Blendon Cemetery. Louis had his own carpenter business of roofing and siding until his retirement. He was an active member of the Blendon Reformed Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Amelia in 1987. He is survived by a son Larry and wife Ruth; grandchiclen Beverly, Barbara (Tom) Bell, and Brian; great grandchildren Kirk, Matthew and Trevor Smith; brothers Henry (Lola), Marvin (Vera) and Clarence; sisters Alice Verzani and Iris (Norman) Fitch; sister-in-law Betty Berndt; nieces and nephews.
