Died April 4, 2007, at Harmon Medical & Rehabilitation Hospital in Las Vegas.
He was born Dec. 26, 1919, in Columbus, Neb. He has been a Pahrump resident since 1970.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was later a salesman and retired from the landscaping field.
His daughters Debra Blohm of Hutchinson, Kan., and Jackie Hawley of New Strawn, Kan.; stepsons J.D. Wooley of Utah and Ronald Cameron of Arizona; stepdaughters Olene Rush, Bobbie Worley and Katrina Amann, all of California; sisters Adelia Olson and Alice Rupp, both of Nebraska; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild survive him.
His wife Lillian Blohm preceded him in death.
Documents provided by Mr. Blohm's daughter Debra Blohm would indicate that Gerald was in the CCC in 1937 at a camp in Iowa. In 1939 he enrolled and was part of Company 1782V and later transferred to Camp Pine Creek in South Dakota.
