Arthur Gordon Johnson

Arthur Gordon Johnson was born August 9, 1917 and died May 17, 2001 at the age of aged 83.

Art Johnson, husband of Millie, was born near Watertown, SD. He came to the Black Hills as part of the C.C.C.'s and was stationed near Custer. He met Millie there and they would walk from Custer to Sylvan Lake on dates. They had 5 kids and were married over 60 years. He was a carpenter by trade, working most of his life in Rapid City. He was a gentle man with a strong handshake and a generous heart.
