Theodore Vincent Elmore

Theodore Vincent Elmore was born on December 31, 1917. He died on April 7, 2010 at 92 years of age. He had lived in Olympia, WA Lacey, WA and Isanti, MN. Mr. Elmore worked on Mount Rushmore and served in the Civilian Conservation Corps.
In 1938 Theodore V. Elmore, son of Mrs. Nina Elmore of Wahpeton, North Dakota enlisted through the Fargo, North Dakota, Recruiting Office with assignment to the 3rd Infantry at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. At Fort Snelling Elmore will join forces with two brothers, Sergeant Ernest and Private Russell Elmore, both of Company H, 3rd Infantry.
CCC Camp 795, Jackhammer operator and dynamite. Spent time assisting tram car operator hauling supplies & materials to top of Mt. Rushmore.
